Wöhner 60mm-busbar system cULus-listed approved
Wöhner, the specialist for busbar systems and safety components, has significantly expanded their product range for use on the North American market in accordance with the UL and CSA standards. Since the beginning of October 2008, the Wöhner-60mm-busbar system is approved to the conditions on the cULus listed standard. For these products the additional "Conditions of Acceptability" don´t have to be considered. For international panel- and machine builders this approval of the Wöhner products simplify the acceptance of the panels for the North American standard. Additionally, for certified panel builders the time and cost intensive UL listing is omitted with UL recognized components.
Furthermore, after extensive testing the Wöhner busbar system, in accordance with the UL standard, means that panels for the North American can be labeled with higher parameters. The "Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) was significantly increased. In combination with Class J fuses, T or RK1 or with UL-approved circuit breakers the Wöhner busbar system reached SCCR values of up to 100kA. Therefore, panel and machine manufacturers can meet the highest requirements, for which in the past they have had to type test their panels.
